The Shoes of the Future and My Past -- A Review of Tieks by Gavrieli

I have to admit that I am a bit of a shoe whore, that being said if I could afford to revamp my shoes, you might be surprised by what I would have in a dream world of shoes. One thing is for certain and this is that Tieks would top my shoe love. Let's face it, Tieks are some amazing flats and if you have not heard of them, then I need to apologize to you off-hand because you are going to fall in love when you slip your feet into the very best flats that you will ever be able to find.

Tieks are highly sought after and well crafted shoes. They run around $175-300 per pair and many might not understand why you would buy a pair of shoes that costs this much until you put them on your feet and then it will all come back to you. You will not be disappointed.

A few years back, I was working as a high profile mom blogger. While I loved my time writing about the things that moms wanted to read about, I was left feeling unfulfilled with the blogging style that I was writing and the fact that I was writing for someone else's blog. However, during this time I got to review and write about a ton of amazing products, but in that entire time the one product that I was most impressed by and the one that I loved the most were my simple pair of Tieks by Gavrieli.

New Tieks Arrived 

I don't know if I can quite capture the joy that I felt the day in which my new pair of Tieks had arrived. It had been a long time in the making since my first pair I had purchased about four years ago and I had just decided that they were worn out enough to get rid of them. I won't lie, after almost constant wear for two years, the past few years of owning that pair of Tieks had left them looking a little rough, but they were still the most comfortable pair of shoes that I had put on my feet.

I'm not going to lie, I love all of the little details and extras that Tieks uses in their packaging. They used this adorable box (which they were using 4 years ago as well) and they wrap up these shoes in a way that makes you feel special when you receive them and open them up. It's like a present for yourself.

Tieks Offers Attention to Details 

One of the first things that you might notice is all of the attention to details that Tieks takes when sending you a new pair of shoes. These are not just your typically flats that are tossed into the mail. They are shipped to you with pride and you notice from the beginning when you are opening the box that something is very different with these shoes. One of the details that I have grown to love is the sweet little flower headband that comes on the packages. While I am not the type to wear a large flower headband in my hair, my little girls love to dress up and use this headband from time to time.

Can A Pair of Flats Really be that Great?? 

Yes, yes they can! You simply cannot believe how comfortable and how much you are going to fall in love with Tieks. They really are perfect for your lifestyle regardless of where you go or what you are doing. Here are some of the adventures that I have had in my Tieks (both the new pair and my old pair).

Adventures in my Tieks 

Climbing a Mountain -- That's right I actually climbed a mountain wearing Tieks!

Exploring New Places -- I love wearing my Tieks when I am traveling.

Airport Travel -- They are perfect for airport travel as you can easily slip them on and off when you are in line waiting to be scanned or checked. 

On Adventures with my Children -- I can run, jump, and dance in my Tieks which makes them perfect for keeping up with my children regardless of where I am going.

Graduation -- Yes, I will be sporting my Tieks at graduation in a few short months!

Honors and Awards -- You can be assured that if I am going to be winning any honors or awards that my Tieks will be on my feet for that as well.

Theme Parks and Museums -- Anywhere that I go with my family, you can see me wearing a pair of Tieks, these shoes are really that great.

Classic Tieks 

I chose the Classic Tieks in Olive that retail for $175. While that might sound like a lot, once you own a pair, you will quickly understand exactly why everyone out there wants to own a few pairs of Tieks. 

In my dream collection, I would not just own the Olive Classic Tieks, but I would also own the Classic Tieks in Metallic Gold ($195), Matte Black ($175), Chestnut ($175), Clover Green ($175), and Mustard Yellow ($175). 

Vegan Tieks 

They also produce a line of vegan Tieks. This was interesting to me and I would love to check out one of the cute pairs that are available. My personal favorites are the Sunset Stripe ($175) which I hope to own one day when I can have my dream collection of Tieks.

Patent Tieks 

I also love some of the patent style although patent is not a first choice for me ever for materials because honestly it is just not my thing. However there are a few colors that I know my dream collection could not live without including: Tiek Blue Patent ($195), Mint Patent ($195), and Slate Grey Croc ($195).

Prints 

No company that makes flats is complete without a full collection of prints and Tieks are no different. There are many great printed patterns that you can find. My personal must haves include: Golden Glitz ($235) and Heritage Plaid ($175).
