A Look at What's In My Planner Sphere (with a Health and Wellness Planner on the way)
Welcome to the planner sphere. Yes, this is a look at the adorable collection of goodies that I have to help myself to be better with planning on using my planner in 2019.
I am still trying to find the perfect health and wellness planner to order this week so that I can get to work on my fitness goals as soon as I am released from surgery to exercise again. I am expecting to be released when I go back and see my dr. in four weeks.
Choosing the Right Planner
I knew that I had a few different needs to meet when I was choosing a planner for 2019. I knew that I needed one planner that was dedicated to health and wellness, one dedicated to my entire life, and one dedicated to my education. So far this year, I have purchased two. I have one that is dedicated to our whole life and I chose it in all honesty because of how cute it looked and that I wanted a planner that I liked to look at.
The second planner that I chose was one that was going to help me break down goals and get work done. This was the planner that I decided would house all of my school work, projects for school, deadlines for scholarships and assistantship applications, and more. It was the planner that would be dedicated to school.

My Everyday Planner
This year I chose the Kawaii Planner that I found on Amazon because I thought that it was fun, unique and adorable. I wanted something that featured enough space to write out everything that happens in our crazy life, but I needed it to be cute and fun so that I actually enjoyed working on it and wanted to see things come to fruition.
What I Looked for in an Everyday Planner
So, since this planning thing is somewhat new to me, I wanted to share with you everything that I had kept in mind and worked on in order to be successful with using a planner in 2019. The first thing that I had to remember is that no matter how cute a planner was, I had to find a planner that was going to work for me.
Monthly Layouts
I needed a planner with a good monthly layout that I could keep on top of and track what I wanted from a planner out of this.
One of the main things that I liked about the monthly format was the little thought bubbles that could remind me of monthly bills, extras or anything that I might have forgotten.
Weekly Layouts
Likewise I wanted my weekly layouts to have cute features that made me want to fill them out. I also wanted to make sure that there were enough weekly layouts that every single day had its own column to fill out. So many calendars end up shorting you and then you either have to put a day in the wrong month or in the wrong order which is too much chaos for me.
Final Thoughts for the Month
Finally, I needed some space where I could write about things that I hoped would be different in coming months or where I posted small reminders to myself of things that were not ordinary but were part of the life that we were living.
My School Planner
I chose the To Do List Weekly and Monthly Planner for my school planner for a number of reasons. One was how it was bound because I needed a planner for school that would not get all torn up in my backpack when I was hauling it between campus and home and classes. I wanted something that would withstand how much pressure it was going to keep and that would hold up for the course of the two semesters that I would be taking with it.
What I Looked for In a School Planner
Finding a school planner that was able to do everything that I wanted was hard. This one really seemed to work for what I was looking for.
Goal Tracking
I wanted something that would help me keep track of goals that I had for school with ease. One of the things that stood out to me with this planner was nice goal tracker that you find at the beginning of each month.
Monthly Layout
I needed a planner that had a clear monthly layout that would help me see an overview of my weekly goals before they were broken down.
Weekly Layout
I needed a planner that had a weekly layout that would allow for me to break down each goal into manageable weekly goals and writing tasks. By doing this, I would be able to ensure that I met all of my goals without end of the semester or end of the term stress.
Month in Review
I loved the idea of having a space to work out what I could have done better and what I would strive to do better in the coming month. I really appreciated that this was something that I was being challenged by myself with.
Yearly Goal Setting
I also loved the feature at the beginning of this planner that allowed for me to make some broad yearly goals and begin working on them.
Accessories
I will openly admit that I love all things accessory!!! The accessories that I have picked up for my planner are helping to make getting organized more fun and interesting. I can't wait to pick up some more stickers throughout the year to ensure that I have a planner that I love and so many planner resources that I will stay on top of my game and keep organized in 2019.
